BFF's

Here is a new picture of Lollipop Rain (2 months 2 1/2 weeks old) and Edward (will be 6 in 5 days). These two just love each other. I am so glad that they will grow up together.

Time to get down and dirty

Well the construction is pretty much over with. Everyone is gone and it just back to me & Edward. I have been BUSY unpacking and finding places for everything in the kitchen and new playroom/theater room. I can say that the new bathroom is pretty much put together. I just have to cartons to unload for the bathroom and it is completed. I have all the cartons for the kitchen unloaded now too (just finished that a few minutes ago....felt I deserved a break). Still have things though in the kitchen to clean and put away. I still wish we would have rented one of those Pods, trust me, we will the next time we do any major construction. A friend from church is coming over tomorrow to help me out a little. That will be nice, at least I will have someone to chat with. I think we will conquer the school room and dining room, since most of the school stuff can now be moved into what is left of the old kitchen. Saturday the same little gal (a daughter of one of Kirk's co workers ) will be coming to help me. I am hoping that we will be able to finish up the playroom/theater room and Edward's bedroom. I am getting that. I have to have the whole house put back together by a week from tomorrow as I have The Maids coming in to do the deep yucky dusty cleaning work since I can't do it because of my asthma and allergies (have already been kicking up enough of that junk as it is). Kirk has been under the weather all week. I need him to get back to normal so we can empty the guest room of all the boxes from the old craftroom that is now the new washroom and help me take them up to the attic for the time being. We hope to in a couple of years redo the basement and turn it into a large craftroom for me, but until then most of it has to go up in the attic (unless it is heat and cold weather sensitive, then I have to find someplace else that is safe to put it for the time being). I can not wait for this house to get back to normal, sometimes I look at it and think it is never going to be that way again. This week is also hectic with Edwards schedule...he had Kindermusik this morning, he has his Homeschool Bowling League Awards ceremony tomorrow afternoon and we have blastball practice in the evening, then we have co-op and Monart class on Friday. Somewhere in all of this I need to get things ready for his birthday part that is a week from Saturday. Oie Vey where in the world has the time been flying too? Well that is about it in a nutshell.

Huge Update about why I have been MIA

Well, I know you have been wondering where I have been and what we have been up to. All I have to say is that I am so thankful that Edward is in Preschool this year and that we decided to do the renovations to our house this year and not wait. It has interfered with our school schedule way to much. We are just basically working on the preschool basics and that is it. I ended up just putting the curriculum aside both out of frustration with the renovation and with the actual curriculum itself. Edward and I went on a vacation to Washington State for 2 weeks last month. We left here March 18th and didn't return until April 1st. We had so much fun and went to so many great places up there......Pacific Science Center, 2 different Children Museums, a Easter Brunch Cruise on the Sound, Bowling, Funtasia Indoor Amusement Park (we rode the bumper cars twice, the Indy go karts twice and played 18 holes of putt putt golf)....just to name a few places. We also saw my brother, his wife and their little boy Levi, my step-sister and her little boy Logan, my grandmother and grandfather on my fathers side along with my uncle (that was a great surprise) and of course we saw my mother and my grandmother (her mother). We got a little bit of winter and spring while we were there. It snowed a few days, sunshine a few days and rained the rest. We got pictures of Edward with the Easter Bunny (first time....just for fun) and also had 4 generation pictures done (my brother and his family were unable to come due to illness). We had the pictures taken at the Picture People. They asked us to sign release forms as they wanted to use some of our pictures in their studio for examples. All in all it was a great trip and so nice to get away from the chaos of the renovation here at home. Thankfully it was uneventful too (i.e. no one got injured). I wish I could have seen more folks while I was up there. Weather played such a huge part in not being able to see some of them, time played another part, as did location. I can't believe that I get so lost now when I go up north. I lived for the first 20 years of my life and now I couldn't find my way unless I have a GPS system. I felt so bad because my sister in law didn't get to see us but it would have been late at night and dark out...I feared so much that I would get lost and be unable to find my way back to the hotel. I just signed little man up for some of his summer activities, he will be going to a week long Soccer Camp (1 1/2 long each day for 5 straight days), 6 weeks of swimming lessons, a 10 week long summer bowling league. I still need to sign him up for Kindermusik Summer Camp (I hope that the other activities I just signed him up for wont interfer with this as I really want him to go) and I have to go to the rec center and see why I couldn't sign him up for Blast Ball this year. I should have been able to. I have until Friday to get that done. That is in May. Soccer camp is in mid June and Swimming Lessons are last 2 weeks of June, 1st 2 weeks of July and first 2 weeks of August. Bowling is every Monday. Right now we are finishing up our last Session of Imagine That Kindermusik Class (next year he will start their Young Child Program), Homeschool Bowling League (actually last day of that is tomorrow with awards in 2 weeks), Co-op Class (just 5 more weeks) and we just started Monart Classes again last Friday (I believe that there are 8 classes in total for that this session). I spent all of today unpacking all of Edward's toys and getting them put up in the new playroom/theater room that was added on in the renovation. I think I have a few more days of that to go. Then it will be on to gettting his bedroom into order (he got a big boy bed....a bunk bed with a trundle bed). I spent all of Saturday evening putting 330 stars on his ceiling. I have to get some more I think I will need 420 stars to complete his ceiling. He loves it, he things it looks cool so far. We also need to put up his new space themed ceiling fan that we bought him (it is the one by Hunter). After his bedroom is come the guest room, new kitchen, new bathroom, new laundry room and our bedroom to organize before my Mother-in-law comes for Edwards 5th Birthday. I have the Maids scheduled to come do the deep cleaning on the 30th of this month. So actually I only have until then to get the house back together. After my MIL leaves, the I have an attic and basement to deal with. I just want to get this house back together and organized then I can breath easily. I still have to go to the TPA Homeschool Convention at the end of May to look at Curriculum for Edward for Kindergarten next year. If you have any thing you can tell me about any great Kindergarten Curriculum, I am all ears. I know I wasn't that impressed or happy with the Horizons Preschool Curriculum that we used this year. I can already tell I am going to love my new Kitchen. I can't wait to start using it on a regular basis. We are still hit and miss with being able to use it. Tomorrow I am making Teriyaki with Orange and Ginger Salmon, Lemon Buttered Asparagus, Sour Cream w/ chives and sharp cheddar new potatoes, and whole wheat and rye dinner rolls. This will be the most extravagant thing I have made in my new kitchen. I am not sure if I said I was teaching the Co-op class that Edward is going to this semester. I have been having a blast working with the children, I can tell that this is something I have been missing since I became a Stay At Home Mommy and quit nannying. I have also taken over doing the Co-op weekly newsletter for the rest of the semester as a favor. Please keep our co-op president and her family in your prayers, they can use them. Bless her heart, she is so overwhelmed right now. I was more than happy to be of help. I actually have been enjoying doing it. However I still am unable to figure out how she made links within the newletter that would send you directly to the part of the newsletter you want to view. Oh well, maybe this way folks are reading the whole thing and learning about new things they might not know about. Well I think that is it in a nutshell.

Are We Camping?????

Oie Vey!!!!! I feel like I am on a very bad camping trip right now. No dishwasher right now. The kitchen sink, down stairs bathroom sink, shower/tub combo and toilet will be unusable after tomorrow. We are eating off of plastic solo plates, using plastic silverware and really lightening up on cooking at home to alleviate having to washing dishes. Unlike camping though I have no room to move around....ah but I guess that is what it would be like to camp in a fifth wheel with a husband, a 4 1/2 yr old and 3 dogs....huh? Only about 5 to 6 more weeks of this madness. They are roofing the new addition today, demolishing the back half of the kitchen, updating the electric (guess they broke a gas line while I was gone earlier), & doing some clean up of debris today. PTL!!! This isn't one of those projects where it will take years. Our contractor is great and things are moving along smoothly. The addition is over half way done....just need siding put up outside, wired for electricity, dry wall put up and wood floors put down, interior and exterior doors hung....wood floors also need to be put down in the new laundry room, then the upstairs will be complete. This is the first time I have ever been in this type of situation. I can say it is a very stressful one. So many decisions to be made.

Crazy House

Well it officially began today. We started the addition and renovation on our house today. I was awakened this morning at 8 am to Bear-Bear barking insistently. He doesn't usually do this. So I threw my bathrobe on and went down to see what was bothering him. I saw a soda sitting on our back deck that I know wasn't there when I went to bed. I stepped outside to find 2 guys on our roof taking down the gutters we just had put on this summer. Kirk had forgot to mention that they would be starting today. I went to a Dr. Appointment at 10am, to see my new Endocrinologist for my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Diabetes management. This is my first time to have ever seen one and I must say I am happy to have her help me to better understand my diseases and how to manage them. Tomorrow I have to go in early to get some blood work and tests done, then I will see her again in a week after I have monitored my sugar levels according to her directions. This is a good thing trust me. When I was diagnosed with Diabetes, I wasn't told how to manage it, how often or when to take my blood to check my sugar levels ( I even had to beg to get a monitor....it was over a year before I finally got one...then I was just given the monitor and left to my own devices), the signs of to high or low sugar levels and what to do in these situations. It is nice to know that I now have more control over my diseases. Enought of that. I came home to a brage of workers, and finally after 6 plus months of begging Kirk to get me some help to move the old air conditioners that were replaced (Couldn't get them back down the stairs....they weigh a ton and I couldn't bear the brunt of the weight and he kept forgetting to ask someone to come and help me move them), the workers removed them for us. I was able to get to the room that will be turned into the laundry room (yep, it will be upstairs on the 2nd floor now instead of in the basement) to clean it out. Now to go through all my old craft room stuff decide what I need, what can be yard sale and what is trash. I need to down size, as I will have limited storage space for these things. So I spent the better part of the afternoon moving the boxes from that room to the guest room (sorry if you were planning to come to visit us in the next few months....probably not a good idea unless you want to stay in a hotel....no place to put a guest at this time). Feb and March look pretty busy and hectic too. Well it is very late, I need to get to bed as I need to be at the doctors at 8am to have the blood work needed done.

The Jist Of It

Well, it has been way beyond hectic around here. Edward is just working on this visual ABC's, Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Numerical order, Days of the Weeks, Months of the Year and the Seasons. This is mostly flashcard work but I am so glad that we have taken time off to just focus on this. I have seen so much improvement in his recognition of these things. We will return to normal curriculum work on Jan 7,2008. We had our Christmas parties at Co-op and Bowling League last week. I was the person who did the Co-op party. I baked over 4 dozen gingerbread boy cookies for the children to decorate, assembled party bags, planned party games, made party treats, bought supplies, decorated, planned the crafts and helped with the clean up afterwards. It was a hit. We have been watching these 2 new shows every M-F morning on our local PBS station. One is called Super Why and the other is Word World both teach reading. I love them and encourage anyone with children pre-reading to early reading levels to check them out if your local PBS station carries them.
We are also preparing for a huge remodel on our house at the beginning of the year. We are going to have an additional room added upstairs, relocate and design the kitchen, move the school room into the existing kitchen area after it has been gutted (except for the wall to ceiling cupboards on the East wall (will make great storage for all our supplies, books and school goodies), we are enlarging our down stairs bathroom and modernizing it. The new room upstairs will be the theater/playroom (yeah no more toys will be allowed down stairs for the most part). All the prelimanaries for the remodeling are turning out to be very time consuming. Luckily we are trying to deal with this all during the next 2 weeks because there are no co-op, kindermusik, monart, or bowling classes.
I am doing a co-op class this Semester so that will also be consuming my time. Makes me wish there were more than 24 hours in a day, some days.
Edward is getting excited about Christmas.
Well that seems to be it in a nutshell for now.

Newflash from the Thompson Household

I am in the middle of cleaning the house so the maids can come in and do a deep clean, so we can start off the year in a spic and span environment. He and his daddy are going to have a boys weekend this weekend, so I can get the main parts of the house clean without Edwards "help". He tends to go behind me and re-mess up what I have already cleaned. I have our upstairs all done. Going to do the Entryway, Kitchen and downs stairs bath today.
Still working on catching up the laundry from when I was sick in July. Now my brand new washer is coding on me that its having issues with draining, so I will have to have a service repairman come out next week and fix it for me. It is frustrating. I can get a load or two done then it starts to act up on me. So that is making it even harder for me to catch up on the laundry.
Next week, on Monday, I have an exterminator coming in to do a spray, he'll come every 3 months and do it. Then on Wednesday, the Maids are coming in to do a deep clean. Plus I hope to get the repair man in to fix the washer next week. Kirk is going out of state next Friday for the 3 day weekend with his dad in Las Vegas. Then things get really exciting for me. Edward will start school either the Tuesday after Labor Day or the following Monday. However Friday the 31st, we will be attending our first Homeschooling Co-op class. He is going to be taking a Storytime & Music Movement Class for 4 to 7 yr olds. I have volunteered to do a P.E. class for Preschoolers and Pre-Kindergarteners.We will also be doing Kindermusik again this year, however the classes will be on Tuesday Mornings. We will be joining the Homeschooling Bowling League on Thursdays this year, instead of participating in the bowling league on Friday and Saturdays. This is the first year that he can join the HBL at the bowling alley. We will be joining the Homeschooling Monart class on Fridays too, a lot of the children from the Co-op participate in this class. Edward will learn to draw using all types of mediums. He will be learning about famous artist this session, like Van Gogh and Gloria O'Keefe. I am pretty excited about this class for him. I plan to do homeschooling Monday through Friday from 9:30 to about 12:30/1:30. But that is just a general time for now, because with the new Horizon's Preschool Curriculum that we bought through Alpha Omega, I am not sure how long each section will take, I used their time line but after a couple of weeks I should have a better idea of how school will take us. I want to allow Edward time to be a child too and have free time to enjoy too. So as you can imagine our lives are about to get extremely busy and exciting. I will scan Edwards first Monart Picture that he brings home, to share with you all.

What I have been busy doing

Finally got a Dynamo Labeler and let me tell you, I have been going hog wild with the thing. I have labeled all Edwards toy bins and buckets in the playroom, not to mention various containers that hold things for Homeschooling in the schoolroom. Speaking of Homeschooling, I bought a Laminator to do laminating when needed. I laminated over 80 Curriculum flashcards, that came with the new Curriculum that we are using this year. This laminater will laminate items up to 9 x 11.5. Which is great, I came make Wipeable Letters that Edward can trace over and over again. Still working on getting the house back in order after being sick much of last month. I have the maids coming in at the end of the month to do a deep clean, so that we can start the school year off in a spic and span house. That will be nice. Still need a few things for Edwards new Curriculum but slowing collecting what is needed. I thought for sure there wouldn't be anything else I could need for him but when I got the new Curriculum there were things in there that I hadn't even thought about. Edward is getting excited about school but most of all I think he is excited about going to his Grandma Bev's House for Thanksgiving. We watch Noggin and when it asks where you want to go on a vacation, he has been answering GRANDMA'S!!!! After the house is back together, Edward has begun homeschooling, then it will be time to start working on these neat projects that I have bought to make for Christmas this year. I need to get them done by the end of November, so as you can imagine, I am giong to be one busy girl. I like staying busy or at least keeping my mind and hands busy. I plan to conquer the attic and the craft room this winter too, when it is much cooler to work in them, as there is no air conditioning in them. The attic more likely will be late fall before it gets to cold. I want to get everything organized so I can get to our holiday decorations and go through all of Edwards old play things, see what I truly want to keep for any possible future child(ren) or grandchild(ren) and what I want to sell a garage sale next year. I need to get my craftroom cleaned so that when I am done working on my Christmas projects, I can get my scrapbooking going towards caught up and maybe get out a cross-stitch project to do. I am itching so bad to do some crafting. Plus there are things in there that can be used in Homeschool Arts and Craft Projects. Well I think I have rambled on enough for now.

Cats and Dogs!

Regan (one of the girls I use to nanny for), who is now 12 yrs old, wanted to come and stay with us some this summer. She was suppose to come the first 2 weeks of July but because I was down with Walking Pneumonia. I went and got her on Friday the 13th and she stayed until Wednesday the 25th. Let me tell you, a 4 yr old and 12 yr old do not always get along, they mostly fight, nag at each other, bicker, and antagonize one another. I thought with the huge age difference there wouldn't be so much of that.....boy was I wrong.....LOL!!! All in all though we did have a great time. One bad thing is that Edward ended being treated too for Walking Pneumonia just as a precaution as he ended up with a horrible cough. The first Saturday we had Regan we took her to Yoder, a Amish community that is about 30 minutes Southwest of us. Sunday we didn't go to church because of Edward's cough....I have a pet peeve about spreading germs intentionally. We also ended up skipping Edwards Bowling League, Swimming Lessons and 1st Vacation Bible School at our Church. So from Sunday to Thursday, we kinda just hung out at the house and kept a low profile. Bless Regan's heart. Thursday we walked around town, ran some errands and just had a little fun. Friday we headed out of town. We started off in Salina. We stayed at the Days Inn with the 145 ft water slide. Saturday mid-morning we headed off to Kansas City, Missouri. On the way we stopped by Wamego, KS and went through the Wizard of OZ museum there. There is even a Mexican resturant there called Toto's Tacoz. LOL! Except they don't sell taco's called Toto's Taco. Kirk was kinda disappointed about that. Cute little town though. Kinda uses the Wizard of OZ theme to their advantage. We checked into our Jr. Suite at the hotel around 3pmish. Went to diner shortly there after. We stayed in the room the rest of the night, we watched Meet the Robinson's. Sunday we went to the Legends in Kansas City, KS. It is a shopping Mall. They have a T-Rex Cafe there. Anomatronic Dinosaurs and the only Build A Dino Shop by Build A Bear are in this resturant. The kids did a dino dig, airbrushed off a dinosaur and meandered through some caves. there were other things to do to but off course just about everthing cost money now days. We also went to Dave and Busters for lunch, chose not to go to lunch as the T-Rex Cafe because there was over an hour and a half wait for a table. The kids loved Dave and Busters because they have a game area. Went back the hotel in the evening and hung out in the room. Monday took us to Worlds of Fun Amusement Park. We came home Tuesday evening, and took Regan home to OK (Edward and I, that is) on Wednesday. We had a great time all in all, minus the fighting that is.

Down for the count

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this the past 2 weeks but I have been extremely sick. It started 2 Thursday's ago when I woke up with a sore throat. I thought it was just allergies so I didn't pay much attention to it. By night fall, I was running a temp of about 103 and had the chills bad. Saturday found me running over a 105 temp, so off to the ER we went. They said I was extremely dehydrated and needed to have an IV of fluids. I was told I had a Urinary Tract Infection and a Sinus Infection. I was sent home with antibiotics, thinking okay I will be great in a few days. Wrong, by Wednesday I was in to see my own Family Physician. They took chest x-rays. When she showed them to me I could see that my lungs were full of fluids and I am just a layman at this stuff. Diagnosis, Walking Pneumonia. Trust me I would never wish this or any form of Pneumonia on my worst enemy. It is awful. So I was prescribed a 2nd antibiotics, still had to take the first ones because they were for the UTI and the new ones wouldn't help with that. The timing for this sucked, I was suppose to go get Regan the first Friday that I was sick but of course not wanting to get her sick postponed that. So now I will get her this Friday but she will only be able to stay for 1 1/2 weeks and not 2 now. I feel so bad. At least I am starting to feel better. Praying for no relapses, trying to take it easy but get the house back in order before I go get her Friday.

Update on Edward's Sleeping

I am proud to announce that Edward has been successfully sleeping in his bed 97% of the time from bedtime to sunrise, for the past 7 weeks. He is doing great and we have made even more changes to his bedtime routine. He now starts out in his bed, we read him 3 stories, kiss him and hug him goodnight, tuck him in, turn on his lullaby music and turn out the lights. He stays there and will sleep the whole night through unless he has a bad dream, then he comes to our bed. He must have been ready this time to sleep in his own bed because we didn't have the issues we had before with getting him to sleep in his bed.

I Promise

I know I haven't posted in a while. I have so much to share. I promise in the next few days to get my blog up to date. I have to share all about Edward's Birthday, My mom's visit, My upcoming Girls weekend trip with one of my "sisters at heart" (God has blessed me with two of them and I love them both....I wish I could have a special day like this with my other "sister at heart"....maybe some day soon we will be able too). I have a ton of things to blog about, please bear with me while I get caught up on my posts. I appreciate your patience and that you read my blog. God Bless!!!

Snow Update!

Just a short note to let you know that we ended up getting a little over 2 inches of snow after it was all said and done yesterday. Today it is just stinking COLD outside!!! BRRRRRR!!!!!! Edward had Kindermusik this morning, forgot to grab his coat on the way out the door. Poor Little Guy!!! It is only suppose to be 54 Sunday, I have a short outfit for Edward for Easter. We are suppose to have an outdoor sunrise service at Church, I am hoping that move it inside so we all don't freeze to death. I think we will do Easter Egg Hunting tomorrow in the house. Edward has an Easter Egg hunt tonight and it is suppose to be outside, I am hoping that the Rec Center changes its mind and moves it inside so the kids wont catch colds since it is at 730pm. BRR!!!!!!

Finalized Floor Pictures

Thought you would love to see how our floors came out. We absolutely love them. The first picture is after the stain and first 2 sealant coats have been put on. The last 2 pictures of the finalized Floors after the 3 and final sealant coat was put on and dried. We still haven't been able to move things back into the room completely as I have to apply felt strips to the bottom of almost everything. Will post another picture once everything is moved back into the room and it is put back together.

What's Up In The Thompson Household

Spring is upon us. We are extremely busy getting things ready in the yard for a Landscaper. We will be having a Landscaping Architect come out and draw up plans for our yard in April. We need to also have the lawn reseeded. We need a type of lawn that agrees with shade. I am not a green thumb person but I want a beautiful yard to enjoy, and some great curb appeal in the front of the house. I think how a yard is kept says a lot about the people in the house. Also looking into having the Kitchen redone. This house has only 1 small counter in the kitchen, limited cupboard space, a small v shaped pantry and you have to walk around a wall to get the dishes from the sink into the dishwasher. It always looks like the kitchen exploded because it just isn't user friendly. We have 2 choices we can either widen out the current kitchen costly but reasonable in my mind, or turn the added on down stairs master bedroom that we use as a playroom/theater room/family room into the new kitchen and relocate that room into the old kitchen (much smaller). Edwards 4th Birthday is just 1month and 3 weeks (about) away. He is so excited. He is going to have a Lightening McQueen Party. We aren't sure where we are going to have it but we have a few more weeks before I need to send out the invites. He is very excited and asks every day if today is his birthday. Mommy doesn't want it to come so quickly. Edward is going to be dedicated at Church this coming Sunday. He is going to where a cute little navy sailor suit complete with hat. Hope to get some great pictures. We have been meaning to get this done but hadn't found a Church. Well, PTL, God has blessed us with an awesome Church and Church family. I love going every week. I even go when Kirk is out of town which with my social anxiety is a big deal. We are still working on baby #2. Looks like we will have to go back into the doctors for some tests and depending what the tests say, it could be fertility shots for me....this scares me because it means multiples. Not sure if I am a good enough mommy to handle more than one baby and a preschooler alone all day long. I want a little Girl so bad, but at this point I will take a little boy too. I just need to have faith that God is hearing my prayers. I also have to remember I have to accept His Will for me and my family, it is quite possible another child is not in his plans for us at this time or at all. I do believe that God gave us science though and that we should use the medical help that he has supplied us with. Sometimes Faith is a hard thing to have, especially when you need it the most. Me Bad!!!

Wow! I did not realize that it has been over a month since my past blog post. Life has been crazy needless to say. November seemed to have just wizzed by. Where it went I have no idea. Lets catch you up....Edward took Swimming lessons for 2 weeks in mid-November. He absolutely loved it. He showed no fear of the water. He has 2 more Friday Sessions of Kindermusik in December, then the Semester ends. He will be graduating to the Preschool Sessions next semester. Class will be 45 minutes long, 30 without parents and then the last 15 with parents. I am hoping to get a few books read while waiting on him. Thanksgiving was just Kirk, Edward and I. We had an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner, a brown sugar spiral ham, corn on the cob, sweet hawaiian bread, rice, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and strawberry-rhubarb pie, plus the ever popular variety of pickles, olives, and cranberry sauce. I celebrated my 34th birthday this month too. It was a great birthday, the best one I have had in years. We started the day off by going to church, then to Starbucks for coffee, then took Edward to McDonalds so he could play in their indoor play area, then to Comp-USA for my birthday present, then we went to the bowling alley and bowled 2 games each (Edward got a strike and a spare), then out to dinner at Macaroni Grill. Speaking of bowling. Edward is doing awesome in his Saturday Bowling League. He got 4 spares in the last weeks. We've put up the Christmas trees (the main one and the kid's one), they are both decorated now. We have decorated the front yard, but because of Kirk's accident he is unable to hang the lights on our house so we will have to have someone hired to do it. So far we aren't having any luck getting that done this year. Still trying for baby #2. I have been taking ovulation kit tests for over 2 weeks now, no sign of ovulation yet. Probably will happen this weekend when Kirk is out of town....LOL....isn't that the way it goes?

Been A While

Where Have I been, you might be asking. Busy. Trying hard not to think about if I am pregnant or not, trying to leave it in God's hands where it needs to be left. Edward is loving school, Kindermusik and Bowling. His average in Bowling is 53. We went to Missouri for a Mini Family Vacation last weekend. (the 18, 19, 20 and 21)....we ended up staying a day longer than we had planned, but we had so much fun. We are going to take a 1 day trip down in to Oklahoma City, OK in about 2 weeks, so that Edward can enjoy a Day Out With Thomas. That is our last planned trip for the time being. I started walking today, I am hoping to get in at least 15 minutes every day. I actually got in about 35 to 40 today. I push Edward in his stroller. I like the morning time together, enjoy God's beauty around us. Thank you God for Sidewalks. Well, I need to cut this short, got tons to do. God Bless!!!!!

Oh WHAT a week it has been

Hello! Sorry I haven't written this week. It has been HELL around here. Last Saturday (the 29th of July) Edward was washing his hands and he slipped and fell, hitting his mouth on our sink. He ended up shoving one of this front teeth up into his gum. So we have spent this week seeing a dentist (after our ER visit on Saturday night), and an oral surgeon. He has a surgery to remove the tooth from his gum on Wednesday the 9th of August. We (edward and I) leave the very next morning for WA state and a 20 day vacation there. I am spending today cleaning the house, will have to run to the Post Office here shortly to mail somethings off, but 85% of my day will be spent cleaning house....ohhhhh what fun!!!!!!! We have decided to supplement Edwards Preschool Homeschool Program we are putting him in Kindermusik again this year and he will also be joining a Bowling League for 3-6 yr olds called Bouncing Bumpers. He gets a free bowling ball at the end of the League which is 22 weeks long. Next year he can join the Homeschool League. I was going to also put him in a Monart program but I don't think this program is a fit for us right now. So we will hold off for another year maybe. They also have programs for Homeschoolers. In 2 years when he starts Kindergarten we can join the local homeschool organization here in Newton. Kinda stinks though that we have to wait until then to start it. I am thinking about trying to find some local moms who homeschool kids Edwards age so we can do things together. I will have to find them. Well thats the long and the short of it here.

Our Wednesday

Well today was a good day, Edward got to go and meet his new peditrician. I like her and he just LOVED her. She is very nice and child friendly, was playing catch with him and so forth. It was great. Not all business if you know what I mean. However we did have to wait 35 to 40 minutes past his appointment time to finally see someone, but at least we got to wait in a exam room. Not always sure if that is a good thing or not. Today is a HUGE fluid day. It is soooo hot here....rumor has it we will break records today and tomorrow in the heat area. Edward got a new basketball (by little tikes) hoop, and he wants so bad to go out and play with it. I put it in the shade so it was a little cooler, filled his sand and water table, but still he opts (can't blame him) to stay inside and veg out infront of the TV. Should have gotten him a sprinkler, but still not 100% he would play in it or even enjoy it. Probably better he is inside, he is so fair skinned like me that he gets red really easily. I have started to get things ready for making some Christmas Gifts this year. I am excited, I just hope that I can get them done in time, seeing as I am starting kinda late this year. Can't tell what they are :0). Well I am going to soak my feet in some cool water. Love to all. God Bless
